The Eros blue Polyommatus eros[1][2] is a species of blue butterfly found in Europe. It is also called as the Common Meadow Blue.

The butterfly occurs in Europe, specifically along the Pyrenees, Alps and the Apennines.[1]

[edit] Taxonomy
The eros species earlier comprised a large number of subpecies which extended across the Himalayas and the Central asian highlands. Many of the subspecies include those occurring in India have now been hived off into separate species.[1]
