Polycatenane

Polycatenane or [n]catenane is a mechanically linked polymer of n catenanes. Macrocycles (ring formed molecules) are mechanically linked like in a chain instead of chemically bound like in normal polymers. Polymercatenanes can be a pure polycatanane OOOOOOOOOO or made to be a mix of normal polymer and polycatenane like this ---OO---OO---OO--- where OO is interlinked chain and --- is normal polymer backbone.
