Polyamide 11
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
PA 11 or Nylon 11 is a biopolymer derived from vegetable oil. It is also known under the tradename Rilsan. PA 11 belongs to the technical polymers family and is not biodegradable. Its properties are similar than PA12 although it has a lower environmental impact, consume less non-renewable resources to be produced and has superior thermal resistance. It is used in high-performance applications such as automotive fuel lines, pneumatic airbrake tubing, electrical anti-termite cable sheathing, oil and gas flexible pipes and control fluid umbilicals, sports shoes, electronic device components, and catheters.
