PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL), is a manufacturer in the chemicals industry and is headquartered in Avon Lake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. The company produces vinyl and engineered materials based compounds, polymer coating systems, screen printing inks, color and additives, and specialty vinyl resins. PolyOne was formed in 2000 through the merger of M.A. Hanna Company and Geon Corp, which in turn was a spin-off of BF Goodrich. In 2007, the company was listed as 713 on the Fortune 1000 and is included in the S&P 600 investment index.
