Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGNiG, Polish Petroleum and Gas Mining) is a Polish state-owned oil and natural gas company, which deals with the exploration and production of natural gas and crude oil, natural gas import, storage and distribution and sales of natural gas and crude oil. It owns around 16,400km of transmission pipelines. PGNiG is one of the largest companies in Poland.
PGNiG plans to build an LNG import terminal in Świnoujście by the end of 2011 with a capacity of 2.5 billion cubic metres (bcm) of LNG per year.[1]
