Political Science Society

Political Science Society is an academic society of Government College University, Lahore.

A new constitution was passed by the members and Office-Bearers of the Society in 2005 which installed a semi-presidential system in the Society. It is the first private society in the World to have a full system of government including President, Prime Minister, Ministers, Governors and Senators. This setup was installed through the passage of the new constitution. President Waqas Banoori signed the constitution and approved it, as an official formality on 16 February 2006.

This new set up was brought to promote and teach democratic working in the Society. It is thought that, in Government College University, Lahore, which produces more than fifty percent of Pakistan's intellectuals and intelligentsia, such a system will be highly valuable.
