From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The GuChuSum Political Prisoners Movement of Tibet was established on 27th September 1991 by the former Tibetan political prisoners. The words " Gu Chu Sum" stand for the Tibetan numbers 9, 10 and 3 which are derived from the three important dates in the Tibetan history - September 27, 1987, 1 October 1987 and March 15, 1988 when three major demonstrations were crushed in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet.
