Polish Third League

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Polish Third League (Polish: III liga polska) is the third division of the Polish football league.

In the 2006/2007 season there are 4 regional groups of Polish Third League. Three groups consist of 16 teams, and one (Group 4) consists of 17 teams. Winning teams from each group win promotion to the Ekstraklasa (First League)—a newly-formed level from the next season. Teams from places 2–5 win promotion to the Second League. Teams from places 6–8 may either win promotion to the Second League or stay in the Third League. Teams from places 9–16 stay in the Third League. There are no relegations to Fourth League this season.
