Polska Agencja Prasowa (PAP) is a Polish news agency, distributing press releases in a similar way to Reuters, Agence France-Presse and AP.

It was founded by Polish communists in 1944 as the alternative the to Polish government in exile-loyal Polish Telegraphic Agency. A government institution and a communist mouthpiece, in 1990 after the fall of communism it was reformed (in 1991 the PTA was finally merged into it).
