Polish Mathematical Society

The Polish Mathematical Society (Polish: Polskie Towarzystwo Matematyczne) began in Kraków, Poland in 1917. It was originally simply called the Mathematical Society. It was officially constituted on April 2, 1919. Stefan Banach was among the founders.
