The Polish Highlanders Alliance of America (pl. Związek Podhalan w Ameryce Północnej) was founded in 1929 in Chicago as an organization that unites all other Góral organizations in the United States. Most of Chicago's Góral community is concentrated on Chicago's Southwest Side along Archer Avenue (Chicago) where the headquarters, also known as the 'Highlander Home' {Dom Podhalan" in Polish} is located. The building is styled as a Carpathian chalet in the so-called Zakopane style of architecture, and the building is currently undergoing renovation under the eye of famed artist Jerzy Kenar.

The Polish Highlanders Alliance of North America is run by an executive board. Its current members are:

Stanisław Zagata - president
Maria Krzeptowska-Giewont - vice president
Marian Bryja - vice president of economic affairs
Andrzej Tokarz - vice president of cultural affairs
Stanisław Trojaniak - vice president for the East Coast
Dorota Sieka - general secretary
Maria Remiasz - financial secretary
Zofia Zaborska - treasurer
Jan Dziatkowiec - marshall
Józef Pepek - standard-bearer
Wojciech Dorula - public relations
Fr. Wacław Lech - chaplain

Chicago's Góral community publishes its own weekly newspaper, The Podhalan Weekly, "Tygodnik Podhalański", in addition to transmitting radio pragrams such as "Gawędy", "Poezja i muzyka góralska", or "Na góralską nutę", all broadcasting from WPNA 1490 AM. The Polish language Chicago area daily Dziennik Związkowy publishes a section titled The Highlander Chronicle "Kronika podhalańska".
