[edit] POLER (Development)

POLER is an acronym for Path Of Least Encountered Resistance. It is used colloquially to describe the fastest way to accomplish a development task, rather than the 'correct' way. For example, the POLER approach to adding content to a hardcoded list would be to add more hardcoded content, rather than following the more generally accepted approach of dynamically rebuilding the list via a database query and adding database entries as needed.
