Poladpur is a census town in Raigarh district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

As of 2001 India census[1], Poladpur had a population of 5297. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Poladpur has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 69%. In Poladpur, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Poladpur is a town named after the (in)famous Poladjung, one of the knights in the army of Muslim Emperor Aurangzeb. He was beaten and buried at Poladpur during the Shivaji Era by the elite warriors of the Chitre clan. Hence, the name of the town. There is a high rate of leprosy here.
