Poker today, especially Texas Hold'em, is America's best-known and most popular card game, played both at home and in the casino. It is well known that when playing poker in a casino, the games, the limits and the amount of rake (house commission) should be clearly posted in the poker area.

Texas holdem poker tournaments take place almost every week of the year somewhere in the world.

If you want to become a professional poker player, or at least an intermediate player, then you must be fully aware of the general and basic Texas Hold'em Rules and the Texas Holdem Poker Hands to play. You can learn how to play poker within a day or so, but mastering the game of poker takes lots of patience and practice.
