[edit] Confusion...
I was searching for Pokemon X, the next soundtrack for Pokemon and this is the crappy wiki-page I got instead.
- Yes, i agree, this is rather strange, i never heard of such a series/movie/OVA being this, and in any rate this is poor wiipedia standards, mo information, no links, no references, no footnotes, just one large paragraph after another, can we please get some clean-up here -((McBowser)) 02:06, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

- Well this comic was out a long time before they titled the Soundtrack "Pokémon-X" I'll try to set up some disambiguation. ReconDye (talk) 12:24, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fixed
Over time I've waited for someone to fix the problem with this artic1al, but no one came, i'm sorta known for bing a sloppy wikipedian but i had to do something, this is as far as i could do it, someone else can place the necessary link, 'cause i don't know how to do that yet - McBowser 11:45, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
I'll try to fix it and jazz it up a bit ReconDye (talk) 12:22, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Notable enough for a page?
Does this really satisfy notability requirements for Wikipedia? There are plenty of webcomics with bigger fanbases than this that don't have pages? And it's a really poorly written, page, too. I'd say kill it. --Col.clawhammer 00:47, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
I think we should move it onto bulbapedia and then improve it to no end. I think we should move it. Anyoune agree/will? (King Garchomp VII (talk) 17:54, 31 January 2008 (UTC))
- As far as other web comics with seemingly large fan bases that don't have wiki pages.. that's dependent entirely on their fan base or author.. If they would like to make pages for their comics.. They can. As for Notability.. I researched this once before.. but I've forgotten the credentials.. But, since this is the comic that started the trend for "pokémon Sprite Comics" and believe me.. I am sorry for starting that trend -_- And since the comic has been around for nearly 5 years, with over 720 pages archives.. I would say that's a bit of a foot in the door. As for Bulbapedia.. Bulbapedia is a site where children go to browse information on pokémon, This comic is obviously not aimed at children, so, moving it there might not be wise. - I'm all for keeping as many web comic articles around as possible, though I have to say that it's odd that this one is here while the pages for much larger and more popular comics were quickly deleted. At very least, it's in rather desperate need of some sort of claim to notability as I don't think starting the trend for Pokémon based sprite comics qualifies. In addition, being an avid web comic reader myself, I think that both Pokemon X and Pebble Version equally share the rather dubious honor of starting that trend. Pebble Version launched shortly after Pokemon X and, while I've seen many Pokémon sprite comics which borrow heavily on Pokemon X's jokes, characters, and style of humor, I've seen just as many that do the same with Pebble Version. - Pebble Version shouldn't share that honor, It is one of the comics that stole jokes from Pokémon-X and began several months after Pokémon-X had already been established.198.102.159.200 (talk) 18:43, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

- Anyone who has actually read a bit of both comics can easily see that there's very little in common so any accustations of theft are baseless. They're both based on Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire so naturally many of the same characters and places appear but that's about it. Both PV and PX have added new characters and original plot threads to the games' story, and said elements are completely different in both comics. For example, PX has Rocky the talking poochyena and made Wally a main character. PV has no talking pokémon and Wally hasn't played any significant role. PV, on the other hand, has an original pair of rivals (Xain and Cali), a plot involving the legendary pokémon mew, and a lot of other new characters (many of whom haven't been named yet) that are nothing like any in PX. Even the characters that both comics have in common (like Brendan and May) have completely different personalities. Finally, both comics have very very different humor styles (PX going for more mature humor while PV tries to stay kid friendly and bases much of its humor on sarcasm and wry wit type jokes). I haven't read all of PX (stopped around the first gym battle) but I only saw one similiar joke shared between the comics, and said joke can be easily accounted for by the fact that both comics have the same source material. Reading just ten or twenty strips of both comics is more than enough to show that PV doesn't copy PX in any way. Not to mention that, according to various info on the site, the first few PV strips were created and work was begun on the main script, website, and the like long before the site went live. Comparing the dates, work began on PV several months before PX launched on Keenspace. Now, with that out of the way, perhaps this discussion could turn to something more useful. Like maybe finding something notable enough about PX to keep this article online once all the anti-web comic editors take notice of it. As I've said, they've already deleted the pages for far larger comics than this and even if PX does get all the credit for starting the Pokémon comic trend, I don't think that will hold up to Wiki's notability guidlines. - Actually, P-X began about a year and a half before I ever had the Keenspace/Comicgenesis account. It originally played off the Yellow storyline, where Ash, who behaved like a wigger, ventured around Kanto with a genetically altered Pikachu, sort of similar to the R/S/E storyline now, except instead of a talking Pikachu, it's a talking Mightyena, and Brendan isn't a wigger. I switched to the R/S/E storyline following the release of R&S in japan which was around November of 2002 I think.. by then I had about 30 pages of the yellow storyline finished. Working on what I could rip with my imported game, I had a lot of the R/S comics finished by the time I got my Keenspace/ComicGenesis account in June of 2003, a few months after the english release, after I had fixed a lot of translation mistakes and renamed the pokémon to their official english names. Now, I'm sure someone will come back and say "SO WAT, PV STARTED BEFORE R/S WAS RELEASED IN JAPAN!! SO DER HIS IS FIRST!" But it's always seems like one of his fans trying to cause problems. But I'm used to it.. his fans are always doing this kind of thing. Let's not forget that time they all banded together to attack the P-X forums. -_- ReconDye (talk) 19:04, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

- You should have stuck with the Pokemon Yellow idea. At least it would have been more original. Instead of "Smart + Dumb" it would have been "Dumb + Good game". Not to mention there are no black people in any Pokemon game, so it would have at least give the "wigger" personality crediblity. Maybe one day you'll release the twenty pages.--72.70.8.87 (talk) 23:55, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

- Why did you vandalize the page in your earlier post? You can't expect anyone to take any value in what you say, if you do something stupid and immature like that. 68.12.140.58 (talk) 02:56, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

- For the record, I know that PX started before it went onto Keenspace/Comicgenesis. I don't think anyone has ever claimed that PV started before PX (at least I've never seen anything), just that PV was created independently of PX and isn't based off it in any way. For that matter, while I've seen lots of anti PV flame type stuff posted on various sites by PX fans, I've never seen any anti PX flames by PV fans. I'm actually a long time member of the PV forums and Josiah has very strict rules about not flaming or attacking other comics. For that matter, we never attacked the PX forums. If I remember right, it was one member who did that (despite being warned not to)and he was banned from the PV forums shortly after (that attack being one of the reasons). Not to mention that you started the whole thing with that Halloween comic where you used Josiah's picture. Moving on though, as I said, I'd like to keep as many web comics entries on Wiki as possible and I've seen the entries for much larger comics killed by the anti web comic crowd so let's see about finding something to satisfy the notability criteria, ok? [edit] Moved From Talk:Main Page
I'm new to wiki, but just glancing at the Pokemon X webcomic article tells me 2 things: Firstly, it needs a complete overhaul as it is seemingly written by a six year old, and secondly, it needs to be moved to bulbapedia, it is too specific for main wiki. I know this is not really the place to discuss this but i really think we need to move it, and then it can be improved. [i am unable to create/edit on bulbapedia due to something about bots and i would probably make a real hash of it anyway. Assisstance [yes, im sure i spelt that wrong.
