[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:ProfBirch.jpg
Image:ProfBirch.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:34, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ivy Seems out of Place
She is placed in this article, yet she has never appeared in any game, and only made a fairly small appearence in the Anime. She seems out of place in this article, considering these Profesors are more know, arguably for their game appearences (Oak and his Pokedex, Elm and his egg research to name a few examples)
On an unrelated note, does Sugimori art for Elm exist? His Anime art seems out of place and takes away from his signifigance as a Pokemon Professor.
- She is a professor, so she has a spot in this article. ~ LegoKontribsTalkM 02:17, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Oak's age
When Oak as a child is brought in to the future, it is said he was brought forty years in to the future, so his own age in the "present" would be more like fifty rather than the sixty of this article. Does anyone object to me updating the article's statement about his age? (I hope adding 10 to 40 is not considered OR, but the 60 figure is hardly canonical.) 129.67.53.232 23:55, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- I can't see anything wrong about changing that, and it would probably be more accurate than sixty (I can't remember ever hearing his age discussed). MelicansMatkin 01:32, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it's really that important, and would rather not mention at all since it seems to be very in-universe. hbdragon88 05:43, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't really see your point about WP:WAF, so I've updated it rather than taking it out altogether. 129.67.53.232 14:37, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps "in-universe" is the wrong term for it...but I have a general dislike for birthdays of fictional characters in general. It'r trivial and the article doesn't suffer because of a lack of it. I agree, I don't think it's OR, so I won't object to it. hbdragon88 06:03, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tree names
Has anyone noticed that all the male Professors are named after trees? And even ivy is a type of plant. Funny isn't it?--Ahmeri18 16:47, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
