[edit] Gardenia's Victreebell
I don't think that Victreebell should be added as one of her Pokemon, especially with the tag "unseen". That just sounds tacky. Her Victreebell has not been seen in the anime, and it should not be mentioned. Yes it was mentioned, but it is possible that it was just a dub-added line - the writers have given Pokemon to people in the dub that were never mentioned in the raw; a case in point is Ritchie's Eevee, mentioned in an episode of Pokemon Chronicles but never discussed in the raw. I do not think that it should be added to the list of Pokemon that Gardenia has. MelicansMatkin 21:55, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
I dont understand why not, there is nothing wrong with putting it as "unseen". Its just information about gardenias pokemon, although the pokemon hasn't been seen, it should still be included. Perhaps you are right about the dub-added line, but still, it still seems that the pokemon should be added, we can just put Victreebel (Unseen and Dub-added)Yinyanglightningthrash 17:35, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- It just doesn't seem very encyclopedic to me; besides, there are several other Gym Leaders with "unseen" Pokemon, but those aren't mentioned in their respective articles. The "unseen" tag makes it sound as if its unverifiable, plus it's exceedingly tacky. MelicansMatkin 18:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Its information though, although its dub added, or it may be dub added, its still informationYinyanglightningthrash 17:38, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
I think it's worth mentioning...although the unseen tag is unnecessary. -Sukecchi 19:44, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
- Okay then, I'll readd the information. Instead of listing it under Pokemon, I'll list similar to Paul's released Pokemon. MelicansMatkin 00:42, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
I was thinking that if it has been mentioned in the anime as one of her Pokémon, then it is information and should be added in, regardless of whether it has been seen or not. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 00:37, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Ok thats good then , problem sorteded - End of DiscussionYinyanglightningthrash 17:28, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

- Yes. MelicansMatkin 18:08, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New weather
Is ths Shinno region naturaly colder than the others? because Ash's new cloths look like some sort of jacket, and Dawn always has a scarf. And one of the cities is called Snowpoint City, and its on top of the Shinno map. And look at the orange islands, Ash and friends were always hot because of the weather. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.223.108.48 (talk) 16:48, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
if it is colder, then dawn woul'nt have a mini skirt. signed by: Ferrariguy1000 (talk) 20:09, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Original Run/Network
Shouldn't the original run and networks be added for Canada, the US, and Italy? FogDevil (talk) 20:11, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes I beleive it should, read the countries section and complain if you desireYinyanglightningthrash (talk) 21:12, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] On hand/Traded changes, etc.
I've just formatted the list of Pokemon caught, traded, released, and given away by each main character in the series. It seems to me that it now reads more clearly, and it will (hopefully) stop anonymous IPs from switching Aipom/Buizel, or trying to change Paul's continually growing list of Pokemon, etc. It took me a long time to format the list, so please discuss it here before completely revising my edit. MelicansMatkin (talk) 19:21, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- It seems to me that this list is completely unneeded. The list of pokemon takes up about 80% of the article and is redundant, only reflecting what is on each of the characters own pages. None of the other season's pages have lists of pokemon. If nothing else, it needs to be cut down to only the major characters of the anime, or completely removed. SpigotMap 14:43, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have no objections to cutting it down, although I am a bit more leery of removing it altogether. The question is what to classify a "major character". Ash, Dawn, and Brock obviously, as well as Paul, Zoey, Jessie and James. The Gym Leaders should be removed outright. But what about Nando, Kenny, and Hunter J? [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:PokemonDPlogo.JPG
Image:PokemonDPlogo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Countries
I think it should be added... If the USA is added, then the rest that are important are, I suggest either (1) Remove the USA and keep Japan (2) Add UK and Italy and nothing else , or (3) Only put Japan,USA, and UK Yinyanglightningthrash (talk) 21:12, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
- Why is the UK so important over every other English-speaking country? Why should Canada, Australia, etc. be ignored? Why should Italy be included, when France, Germany, and Brazil are ignored? The only countries that should be kept are the raw (Japan) and the first dubbed-country (USA). The number of episodes shown in Japan and in the USA are more important than that of any other because it shows just how far the raw and the dubbed anime has progressed. It also keeps synchronicity with all of the other Pokemon anime articles. There is no reason to add any other countries. MelicansMatkin (talk) 03:25, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- It is only in japan italy america and england.... Fine if you are going to delete englan and Italy, then you may aswell delete america, it speaks english too doesn't it? I added this before and you said it was fine.... there is no harm in doing this MelicansYinyanglightningthrash (talk) 17:22, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, it is shown in all of the countries that I mentioned above. The point is to show the number of episodes that have been aired in the raw (Japan) and in the dub (whichever country has shown the most dub episodes). This allows people to see how many episodes were actually translated into the dub (please see Banned episodes of Pokémon); not every episode that is aired in Japan is translated into the dub, but every episode that is aired in the dub is aired in the rest of the world. I am restoring the information. MelicansMatkin (talk) 01:37, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

It is not shown in all of the countries mentioned above, if you have any proof please show...78.86.174.185 (talk) 20:08, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- For France, Germany, and Brazil, I was referring to their (non)inclusion in the infoboxes of every other Pokemon series. It's obviously shown in Japan and the USA, and I watched an episode on YTV this morning. I reiterate: The point is to show the number of episodes that have been aired in the raw (Japan) and in the dub (whichever country has shown the most dub episodes). This allows people to see how many episodes were actually translated into the dub (please see Banned episodes of Pokémon); not every episode that is aired in Japan is translated into the dub, but every episode that is aired in the dub is aired in the rest of the world. Continuing to delete content to try and make a point will result in vandalism warnings. MelicansMatkin (talk) 20:54, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cacnia
I am just wandering did James give cacnia to gardenia forever or is it temporary until cacnia becomes stronger?Yinyanglightningthrash (talk) 09:54, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Chimchar-Monferno
