From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Diamond & Pearl is the seventeenth Pokémon Trading Card Game (Pokémon TCG) set by Pokémon USA. It was released on May 23, 2007. The set is the first in English-language territories to include fourth-generation Pokémon, namely, those that first featured in the Pokémon Diamond & Pearl video games on the Nintendo DS, for example, Dialga and Palkia. Several new rules have been introduced to the set with the release of Diamond & Pearl in Japan, and several changes have been made to the format of the cards; some of these changes were included on previous card formats, and others are brand new. One of these changes has turned the original Poison-Pokémon into the psychic category instead of the grass category.
[edit] Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Energy Cards
There are two new basic energy cards introduced in this set—the basic Darkness Energy and the basic Metal Energy. They are basic energies in the Diamond & Pearl card list, whereas they are special in other sets.
