[edit] Where is this taken?

At Portal talk:New Zealand#Featured articles, we are building a collection of NZ featured pics, the question is, where was this taken? Is it an actual NZ image? Or is it someone practising a NZ art form elsewhere? --Midnighttonight remind to go do uni work! 04:59, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] It was taken at my dance studio in Vancouver, BC.

Hi, I'm the performer and model in this picture. It was taken in my former dance studio in Vancouver, BC, Canada. This is very much modern poi spinning, as opposed to traditional maori poi dancing. Glad to see that people liked the photo, and a big thanks to Hendrik, the photographer. Any way we can add my name: Nick Woolsey, and maybe a link to my poi website?

Excellent photo Nick--The world salutes the Rising Star...Try to be One 16:38, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
