Pohranice (Hungarian: Pográny) is a village and municipality in the Nitra District in western central Slovakia, in the Nitra Region.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1075.

The village lies at an altitude of 197 metres and covers an area of 12.089km². It has a population of about 1063 people.

THe population is about 60% Magyar and 40% Slovak.
