Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! PS I just ran across some of your contributions. They aren't minor! Wikipedia:minor edits are those that don't change the meaning at all, like a format alteration or the correction of a misspelling. You may have the "mark all edits as minor" setting turned on in your preferences. May I suggest that you either turn it off or manually uncheck the box when making non-minor edits. Cheers, -Willmcw 23:26, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)
Hmmm... So that explains why they weren't coming up in preview. Poetatoe 23:29, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Reverting to long-obsolete versions, and fraudulently labelling the changes a "typo" or "revision", is vandalism. Please stop this behavior. Thank you. -Willmcw 23:38, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)

Adding inappropriate photos to articles is also vandalism. Please stop. This is a second warning. Do not erase these. Please read the Wikipedia policies listed above. Thank you. -Willmcw 23:48, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)

Deleting material without a reason is vandalism. Please stop interfering with this project. -Willmcw 23:56, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Eric Foner Article

Greetings and welcome to wikipedia - I noticed that you made an edit to the Eric Foner article aimed at restoring content from a previous version. Unlike certain unnamed other users around here who automatically make bad faith asusmptions of "vandalism" and also have no real authority here to issue certain "warnings" that they purport to be making, I will assume that you made this change in good faith as wikipedia's guidelines instruct all editors to assume of others making changes (Wikipedia:Assume_good_faith). If this was indeed the intent of your edit, I suspect that you may have one or more valid requests to restore or build upon material that was in a previous version of this article. I'd like to extend an invitation for you to discuss these changes, if any, on the Eric Foner talk page at talk:Eric Foner. Thanks & look forward to your contributions Rangerdude 04:10, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism report

Poetatoe, some of your edits might indeed be classified as vandalism. I note that you're a new user (although you show some familiarity with Wikipedia, so perhaps you're also editing under another account), and therefore I'm assuming good faith for the time being. I'm going to remove your vandalism report, as Willmcw was discussing your contributions, not vandalizing your page. If you cause any more disruption, you may be blocked from editing without further warning. I hope instead that you'll make some useful contributions, and try to get along with your fellow editors. If I can help you to do that, please let me know. Many thanks, SlimVirgin (talk) 04:56, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)

This account is blocked indefinitely as a disruptive sockpuppet of User:Thodin. SlimVirgin (talk) 05:11, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)
