Podakkudi is a small village in the Tiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu in India, located 13 km from Mannargudi, 19 km from Thiruvarur, 35 km from Kumbakonam, and 45 km from Thanjavur. The nearest airport is at Tiruchirapalli and the nearest train station is at Koradacheri. The port of Nagapattinam is located 45 km from the village. The income of this village is balanced between agriculture and business. There is a famous Arabic College known as "An-Noorul Arabic College" in this village which is established in 1915 and still training students about the Islamic culture.
