Pocker Sahib Memorial Orphanage College

Pocker Sahib Memorial Orphanage College was established in 1968 as an aided junior college, affiliated to the University of Kerala under the management of the Tirurangadi Muslim orphanage committee (Regd.).

Consequent upon the University reorganization, the college came under the University of Calicut in the same year. It was upgraded as a first grade college in 1972 and a Post Graduate College in 1980. Having expanded in terms of infrastructure, courses, staff and students strength the college has emerged as one of the premier institutions of higher learning under the Calicut University. At present nine degree courses and six post graduate courses are offered at the college catering to the higher education needs of around 1350 students. The college was mainly intended for the educational progress of the orphans of the Muslim community but it also fulfills the educational aspirations of students from all communities.

The college is situated at a distance of 13 km from Calicut University Campus, 24 km from the District Head Quarters at Malappuram, 8 km from the Parappanangadi Railway station, 13 km from Calicut Airport and 1km from the NH 17 at Kakkad.
