Pobalscoil Neasáin, or "PSN" as it is affectionately referred to by its students and alumni, is a community school situated between Baldoyle and Bayside, north east of Dublin city centre, Ireland.

A centre of educational excellence, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the school strives to foster personal development and academic excellence. With a highly intelligent, welcoming and supportive staff, fantastic management team and an atmosphere which leaves other schools with much to be desired, PSN is an example to all, that student and pupil working in an atmosphere of mutual respect, is beneficial to social, personal and academic development.

The school has had tremendous successes in debating this year, notably winning the All Ireland Secondary Schools Debating competition, The Aoife Begley Memorial Secondary Schools Debating Competition, The Cork Mace and The Wesley Mace to name but a few.
[edit] Esat BT Young Scientist
Pobalscoil Neasáin students had great success with their project in the competition in 2008. The girls received a green ribbon for their project on the effects of the compulsory PE time period upon the average student. This has encouraged many students in the school to endeavour to take part in next year's competition.

Soccer is also a firm favourite with the students in Pobalscoil Neasáin, with the Under 18's Soccer Team achieving notable success on numerous occasions, most recently winning the Dublin Metropolitan Cup. The Under 16's team have also achieved incredible success in their division of the Metropolitan Cup.
Basketball is perhaps the most popular amongst the girls of Pobalscoil Neasáin, with congratulations to the Under 19 Girls team and coach Mr. Harrington for a tremendous win in the Dublin Divisional Girls Basketball Final.
Rugby is an up and coming sport within the school. The Under 14's Boys Team achieved phenomenal success, winning their Rugby final in 2007, their first championship, having formed only the previous year!

Music is one of the firm foundations of Pobalscoil Neasáin, with the much revered PSN Unplugged running annually to a full house on both nights. Notable guests have included Leanne Harte and Philomena Lynott in 2006, and many more in the preceding years. Stars In Their Eyes has also been a great success, running in the Spring to an audience who can be assured of a great night of "entertainment". Memorable appearances have been made by the Y.M.C.A and Freddie Mercury to name but a few.

Pobalscoil Neasáin is linked to many schools in Europe, including schools in Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Italy and Latvia. Students have participated in the TeenNet Project, travelling to Spain, Latvia and France. More recently the school has taken part in an international forum on Europe, with students travelling to Stalkerbach, Germany to take part in international conferences. This has proven a great success, and encouraged students to establish firm international friendships. Combining this with the participation of students in Model European Parliament at St. Andrew's College, Booterstown, an event which has become an annual occurrence most recently, and the success of the school in the Rotary Competition, Pobalscoil Neasáin has embraced the links with Europe, and offers its students the opportunity to discover, what it is to be European.
