Pnina Rosenblum (Hebrew: פנינה רוזנבלום, born December 30, 1954) is an Israeli politician, businesswoman and media personality, born in Petah Tikva. A glamourous, blonde former beauty queen, her celebrity status has prompted the media to nickname her everything from "The Blonde Messiah" to "The Breasts of the Nation".
[edit] Career
Rosenblum worked as an actress, a model and as a journalist for the Maariv newspaper before founding her own highly successful cosmetics company, Pnina Rosenblum Ltd in 1989.
In 1999 she formed the Pnina Rosenblum Party to contest the 1999 Knesset elections. Although her party failed to cross the electoral threshold, it was the most popular one not to do so, and won more votes than other well-known parties such as the Green Party and Tzomet. On December 10, 2005 she was appointed to the 16th Knesset as a member of the Likud party, when the defection of several Likud MKs to Kadima opened up spaces for new Likud members. However, her stint as an MK did not last long, as she lost her seat a few months later in the March 2006 elections.
In July 2006, she was named as one of the contestants in an upcoming Israeli television reality show which follows celebrities as they build a traditional Israeli settlement.[1]
