I explained in this link...[1]. To reiterate, transvestites are often considered a part of the transgender community, because their gender behavior significantly diverges from the gender behavior expected of them. Thus they are a part of the LGBT community. And as you may know, some tranvestites are transgender in the sense of wishing that they could change their sex.
