[edit] Welcome

Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Wikipedia does not allow advertising in articles, or through the use of external links. (With regard to your site, the existence of an interview clip does not necessarily mean it should be linked.) For more information on this, see

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Ckatzchatspy 22:50, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Link spamming

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MSGJ (talk) 16:20, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Ckatzchatspy 17:59, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Link problems

The link sourceonetv.com seems to contain material that violates the copyright of the true owners. Please do not readd it to the Christian music article as an external link as it will continue to be removed. Thank you. Absolon S. Kent (talk) 18:28, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello! Tip: use the preview button before pressing submit so you can check that it works. I have added the underconstruction tag so that people know you are working on the article. Please can you remove it when you have finished editing for the day? Thank you. MSGJ (talk) 21:45, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Also YouTube is not considered to be a reliable source, so could you please remove those references? Good luck with the editing. If you have any questions, please ask me on my talk page. MSGJ (talk) 21:48, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh, and there should be no external links in the body of the article. Internal wikilinks are great, but not links to sites outside Wikipedia. Exceptions are: references (obviously) and those in a special section called External links where you can put valid useful external links.
I hope you don't mind me telling you this. I mean it in the best way. Think of it as a helping hand ... MSGJ (talk) 22:02, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
I've gone through the main article and done a basic cleanup, removing excessive links and so on. As well, please stop adding links to the site from other articles; those edits do not meet the external links guideline. Feel free to ask me if you need more information with respect to this. Thanks. --Ckatzchatspy 22:53, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Paul Matadeen Interviews Jeremy Camp.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Paul Matadeen Interviews Jeremy Camp.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:33, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 04:05, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from all of Wikipedia. ➪HiDrNick! 04:07, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Pmatadeen, I would strongly advise you to stop your actions. First off, your addition of YouTube links promoting your site fails Wikipedia's external links guideline. Second, you are making claims about being targeted, yet this is no different from any other similar situation. Wikipedia is not a link directory, an advertising site, and there is no "violation" of your "freedom of speech". Thirdly, I have tried to work with you, by cleaning up your article and advising you on what is appropriate and what is not. Please, do not aggravate the situation; instead, pause, listen to what we are trying to tell you, and let's move forward in a positive manner. --Ckatzchatspy 04:12, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wiki Welcomes

Please don't get discouraged about editing. I recommend you review Wikipedia:Avoiding common mistakes. This may help you avoid those angry mastodons out there. Absolon S. Kent (talk) 16:01, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
