Talk:Plymouth Beach, Massachusetts
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Title
The title of the article should not have the ", Massachusetts" after it. The article is about the beach itself, not the small village which consists of a restaurant, a motel and a few houses near Plimoth Plantation. Perhaps it should have (Massachusetts) using parentheses after the word Beach. Ed 02:16, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Plymouth Beach is considered an official village of Plymouth, and therefore needs the clarification. As a neighborhood, it uses the city, state format, not city (state) format. The article should be about the village and the beach, as the beach is a part of the village (i.e. White Horse Beach is a neighborhood at the end of Beaver Dam Road, and includes the beach named after it). The beach and village are different, but do not deserve separate articles. But you are right, there is case for confusion, so the intro is now about the village, with a sub-section about the barrier beach. Raime 01:37, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
