Plyos

Plyos (Russian: Плёс) is a town in and the administrative center of Privolzhsky District of Ivanovo Oblast, Russia, situated on the right bank of the Volga River some 70 km northeast of Ivanovo. The town was founded in 1410 by Vasili I as a border post of Muscovy.

It population: 2,790 (as per the 2002 Census). It has had town status since 1925.
