Please do not remove messages from your talk page. Talk pages exist as a record of communication, and in any case, comments are available through the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted comments. Thanks. - CobaltBlueTony 17:35, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. If you would like to archive your talk page, please see WP:ARCHIVE. - CobaltBlueTony 17:55, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I am pointing out a standard rule. I'm sorry if it annoys you, but removal of warnings and other editorial notices are common practices of vandals and uncooperative (e.g.: uncivil, assuming bad faith, or violators of Wikipedia's neutral point-of-view policy) editors. Don't forget, you can use your user page to put up a bio and other miscellany. See Wikipedia:User_page for more information on what you can do with your page. Happy editing! - CobaltBlueTony 18:28, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Please keep in mind that while the purpose of a talk page is primarily to communicate with the user whose name is associated with it, that person still does not WP:OWN that page and as such it is subject to editing by other editors, even in ways that you may not like. Talk pages provide a public record of messages, and as such it's necessary to keep them intact and visible. Night Gyr 08:59, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Anything that can have rules injected, elaborated, and enforced always attracts the bores, the gestapo, and the prigs to push in that direction. Fun is impossible Pliny 10:03, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, and "fun" or not, it is generally not a good idea to remove things from your user talk page. A lot of how people get a sense of who you are is to be able to see your exchanges with other contributors. - Jmabel | Talk 19:46, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Superdon
Hi,
I created the page originally...and it was in the wikiverse for some time. It was listed on VFD for not citing references (which i disagreed with but hey). If you check my talk page (specifically User talk:Pydos#Superdon) you'll see more about it. Thanks anyway.
On another note i guess from the name you like the classics - i run the classics portal on wikipedia (Portal:Classical Civilisation) so feel free to drop by and lend a hand, criticise my work or do whatever else takes your fancy. Pydos 15:09, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Relative facultative?
Forgive my ignorance, but I've just Googled that term (having never heard of it) and received only two results in French, neither for the expression as a whole. Could you explain it perhaps? Chris 42 16:03, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation, but my only problem with the sentence was that it ended in a preposition ("...world they take place in"). I was always taught that such grammatical constructions are a no-no. I don't know if they actually are, but to my mind they do sound a bit awkward and I've always favoured using "in which" (or similar) instead. Chris 42 11:44, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Deaths in 2006 - Archbishop Timotheos III Papoutsakis of Crete
Hi Pliny. After doing some extensive research on the net, I have managed to locate a live citation (in Greek, mind you) confirming the passing of Archbishop Papoutsakis. The citation leads to the home page of The Cretian Television Service, and shows a picture of Archbishop Papoutsakis' body laying in state, also has a further article obtained by clicking the hyperlink under the text at the side of the picture. If you need any further information, or have trouble translating what is up there, let me know. Thor Malmjursson 13:06, 29 July 2006 (UTC) Thor's multilingual Talk page
[edit] Question about my link
-
- Try (at least try) to remember what is said above Pliny 13:30, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Pliny, Please try (at least try) to explain what exactly is the problem? Take a look at those pages:
* Homepage of the World Memory Championships * The Memory Page: Tutorials and tips on how to improve your memory. * Medical Mnemonics.com: World's Database of Medical Mnemonics - "A free online searchable database of medical mnemonics to help students of health-related professions remember the important details." * Mnemonics Collection for Students - In spite of your efforts to organize your information, you may still find that you have a big list of stuff to remember..
http://www.Pmemory.com provides a free material and unlike other websites we provide new material about mnemonics (and this is exactly what the "mnemonic page" is about). There is no issues with the copyrights what so ever. I am the owner of the website and all I've provided is a link to the free eBook about modern mnemonics. Please advice.Pmemory 18:44, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Clearing of Mnemonic
Please do not delete other people's hard work on articles such as the mnemonic article. Your deletions have been reverted.
- I do not understand. It seems to be an accident, one that you did not intend for, so its all fine and dandy. I made a few more edits to that article afterwards too—the references were a little bit messed up.

- I believe they are trying to sort it out. It is very easy for it happen even when trying to pay attention....you will come across references to the problem if you keep your eyes open - sometimes there is a warning at the top of edit pages - see deaths 2006 for instance (when in edit mode).Pliny 15:38, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi - your contribution on optical illusions regarding dominoes seems incorrect. I put a piece of paper on the top edge and the left is truly higher than the right...no illusion. Am I missing something? Lance 19:38, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
