[edit] Onegai Teacher vs. Onegai Sensei

Do NOT call this series "Onegai Sensei". If it were called "Onegai Sensei" it would be titled "おねがい☆先生". But it isn't, it is titled "おねがい☆ティーチャー", note the katakana reads "tei-cha". The katakana is derived from the English word 'teacher', thus it is known as "Onegai Teacher". Those who do call it "Onegai Sensei" have literally took the English word 'teacher', and then translated back into Japanese, and romanized it once again into 'sensei', which if you think about it, is just their way to show off that they know a little Japanese.

[edit] Characters and possible spoilers

I don't know about you people, but the characters section on this page kind of gives away spoilers. I mean come on, giving away Kei and Ichigo having the same condition, and describing Ichigo's age and coma really gave away the 9th episode (surprisingly, as is this also, as I'm explicitly pointing it all out).

That is what the spoiler templates are for. -- (十八|talk) 02:07, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Keep the page at Please Teacher!

We are to name anime articles based on their licensed English titles and the series is marketed as "Please Teacher!" While there is also a novel series with the title of "Onegai Teacher", it is not as high profile as the anime.--SeizureDog 20:25, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

"We are to name anime articles based on their licensed English titles"
This statement is false. See Wikipedia:talk:Manual of Style (Japan-related articles). This was added to the style guide without consensus and everyone pretty much agrees to remove it, just not exactly how. Wikipedia procedure is to use the most well-known title, *not* necessarily the official title.
You could argue that the official title should be used because it's well known, but you shouldn't use it just because it's official. Ken Arromdee 17:09, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
In that case, the official title should be used because it's well known. 202.147.107.2 02:44, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
I would agree with that. -- Ned Scott 02:52, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
The English manga translation uses "Onegai Teacher" WhisperToMe 05:21, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Then again, it looks like Onegai Teacher the manga is out of print. [1]WhisperToMe 05:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sequel

Please Twins! has been referred to official sources such as Bandai Entertainment as a sequel, see Bandai Entertainment - What's New, and notable sources such as Anime News Network, see Please Twins! (anime) at Anime News Network's Encyclopedia. Ganryuu (talk) 16:07, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

While Anime Encyclopedia lists it as a sequal, I do not agree for it is not a "true squal". All the characteristics of this series is a spinoff. However since I do not have the time and energy to waste on something so trivial, we'll leave it as be.

[edit] Music :Snow Angel

Isnt there a OST of Please Teacher called "Snow Angel" or something like that? Pretty nice actually... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9usVo3QCP6g&mode=related&search=

Do you guys think it should be included in the "MUSIC" section?

Arquenevis 07:55, 1 April 2007 (UTC)arquenevis

I think not, you see only the musics used as opening and ending themes should be included I think. Please Teacher has at least 4 musics but I think only 3 of them are used in the anime. The others can only be heard in the CDs and in the 'net (at least thats where I heard them). Pathbinder 13:25, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

If you created a new section of Music and included the music CDs released over the years, then that would be all right.-- 19:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
