I'm not sure, since I've only watched tv judges :-P, but IIRC in Germany you also don't need to answer questions that incriminate yourself or a close relative.

If there's one example, I'm wondering about the claims of this article that this is unique to one jurisdiction. Kim Bruning 10:50, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
