Plectranthus esculentus is a species of plant in the Lamiaceae family. It is indigenous to Africa, is grown for its edible tubers. It is more difficult to cultivate than Plectranthus rotundifolius, but able to give greater yields.
Botanical synonyms include Coleus esculentus and Coleus dazo. Vernacular names include dazo, rizga, umbondive, finger potato, and Livingstone potato.
