Pleasant Hill High School (Oregon)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pleasant Hill High School is a Division 4A public high school serving the town of Pleasant Hill, Oregon. The school is located in Pleasant Hill. It was originally constructed in 1961 and has undergone some renovations since then.

The school's mascot is the Billy Goat. They are not called the Hillbillies like they once were, they are the "Billies", like the Curse of the Billy Goat.

Its colors were originally royal blue and yellow, but are now navy blue and gold.

The athletic programs are part of the 4A Sky-Em League, along with Cottage Grove, Elmira, Junction City, La Pine, Marist, and Sisters. In the early days of the school, the main sport was baseball. In 1910, the team went undefeated, beating the University of Oregon second team as well as Springfield and Eugene High Schools.

The school is also well known for hosting the annual Pleasant Hill Jazz Festival in April.
