PlayaBender is the pen name derived from two sources:

• Playa, the name of the expanse of land that Burning Man is build upon.
• Bender, the contrary Robot from the cartoon series Futurama. It's also my nickname at Burning Man, given for my significan help constructing the metallic domes of our camp in 2004.

While new to Wiki, PlayaBender is a long-time author, having written or edited more than twenty books on computing. He also developed a hyperlinked, text-based database suspiciously like a Wiki way back in 1991, years before anyone knew Wiki. So he is avid about Wiki, if a little late to the game. He doesn't have much history to show yet, but is studying Wiki, learning from others, and contributing when he is very comfortable that his addition will be useful.
