Hi, everybody. This is Platypus222, as a username, or Platypus Man, as a name. Not sure what to say... Well, I started on Wikipedia in March 2005. As I traverse the great web of information that is Wikipedia, I correct any grammatical, spelling, or factual errors I see, making me like a WikiGnome. Any actual new information that I add and contributions I make (see below) are usually about video games, or something else that I know a lot about.

Oh, and my sister is soooo much cooler than me! She is awesome in every way, and I am bad child.

The preceding comment is a lie / vandalism written by a lame-o.

I made my 1000th edit on October 21, 2006. It was shortly reverted... by me... Just thought it was worth a mention...

This user believes that Userboxes Are Evil And Must Be Stopped. This user does realize the irony of using a userbox to voice his dislike for userboxes.

As you can see, I don't like Userboxes... Except the one that tells you that and the one that I actually do like... I realize that I would fit into many of those categories, but I give out information about myself by talking/writing and doing things. If you don't know something about me, then either I don't want you to know it or you're not paying enough attention. In addition, I'm generally opposed to using MySpace and the like, so this is all the first-hand info you'll get about me... Unless I get bored...

Ever since I've joined Wikipedia, I have seen the power of a Wiki. When everyone pools their resources, it is be truly amazing what can be accomplished. This is what the Internet should be like (without vandalism, of course). So, I've joined a few more:

I have also joined Lostpedia, a Wiki about Lost. Not as nice or big as this place or other Wikis, but it offers a lot. My page.

I don't count redirects (mostly) or newer versions of the same images, but here's what I got:

  • Dave Mordal - One of my favorite comedians. He was on Last Comic Standing, and was easily my favorite of the bunch. Also, he is a good friend of my uncle.
  • Umaro - A character in Final Fantasy VI. I was looking, and I found it a shame that he didn't have a page. So, I made it.
Note: The page has been turned into the redirect, but my page lives on in the history!
I went there, and I wanted it to have a page.

[edit] New Versions of Existing Images

I may not have uploaded the originals, but the images you see now are mine. Or at least they'd better be...

A new image for Krusty the Clown.
I didn't particularly like the original image, so I uploaded this new version. w00t Seinfeld!
The original was too obscure for a single character, so this one is only him.
There was a weird vertical line going through it, so I removed it.
The original was blurry, so I found a better image.
"Just too darn small..." is about my first update, in which I found a better, larger, image. Since then, I have made the PNG's background transparent and performed the "fair use reduce" on the image, making it smaller in resolution, but I still think it's better than the one I originally replaced.
These 5 coin images weren't as good as the others on the list, so I saw that the original source had been updated. These were on Wikimedia Commons, so I had to make an account over there to upload the new versions. I originally couldn't upload over them, so I uploaded under different names and requested moves, but I eventually was given the ability to upload over, so I did that.
A-a-angry Beavers! I think this is the third image I've uploaded for this, but whatever. This one is the best.
Better Family Guy logo
There was a jpg logo for Rare, but I extracted this one from a white-background wallpaper on their site and made a transparent-background png

These are all PNGs that had white, instead of transparent, backgrounds. The only modifications I did to these was to make the backgrounds transparent.

These images only had other minor changes made, such as a combination of crop (C), resize (S), & transparent background (T), background removal (B), and rotation (R). I don't think I have any with all five, though...

In real life, I am Justin Shillock. I am from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. On the internet (not "real life," of course), I am the Platypus Man and I hail from Platypus Land, as if that means anything. In case you can't tell, I'm a bit odd...

Currently, I am 20 years old. I have a strange liking towards the duck-billed platypus, thus the name. I graduated from Richard J. Reynolds High School (but went more to Career Center) and am attending North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, majoring in computer science. I have been called a "grammar nazi;" I am. I don't deny it. I am an atheist and proud of it. I spend my spare time playing video games, mostly Nintendo (don't call me a fanboy; I'm not one). I also watch TV (a bit too much, some have said). Other than that, I do nothing. Not kidding.

I used to have two free websites showing my affection for platypuses (not platypi!) and another one called Anti-Easy Mac, showing my hatred towards Kraft Easy Mac (in an early commercial, they abused a platypus). Presently, I have one website. It is a DVD list and can be found here.

By the way, my first cousin, seven times removed, is Davy Crockett. An interesting sidenote...
