[edit] Wal-Mart

I remember in the days before Dubuque had it's own Wal-Mart people would often drive to either Platteville or Maquoketa, Iowa if they wanted to shop at Wal-Mart. We'd go to Maquoketa as it was a bit closer for us. JesseG 21:32, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The M

Shouldn't something be included about the World's Largest M and how it is lit a couple of times a year? Porsche_gal 00:08, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

The what? Tomertalk 05:36, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Yeah! That'd be a great addition! Even though it is in the next county.  ;^) If memory serves, I think there's something about it at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville article; but it hurts me to try to read that thing. --BaronLarf 12:01, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
The UW-Platteville article has a detailed writing about the "M". It probably is best served there as it is part of the UWP tradition. It includes all the details - including the lighting, whitewashing, etc.--master_sonLets talk 22:33, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More Pictures

The only picture shown is old and should be replaced, also other picures of Platteville would be nice (the big M, the college, the schools) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.100.214.92 (talk) 22:29, 13 May 2007 (UTC).
