[edit] McVeigh and Padilla

Twice recently the point in the trivia concerning McVeigh and Padilla was deleted. It is exactly the sort of interesting trivia which Plantation residents like me would be looking for when reading this article. Before removing legitimate information without explanation, please discuss here.

[edit] McVeigh/Padilla citation issues

I have tagged four citations relating to McVeigh and Padilla because there are serious reliability issues with each of them. The first is linked to "Eye on Hate", which appears to be affiliated with a left-wing radio program. The article is unreferenced, and I am unable to find anything substantial about the author of the piece, other than her affiliation with Eye on Hate. The next one is linked to [www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1127530/posts Free Republic], which is simply a (right-wing) discussion board. (No, the left-wing bias of the first and the right-wing bias of the second don't cancel each other out; they're both still unreliable.) The last two citations are both to essays on Rotten.com, with no attributions of authorship and no citations. Rotten.com is not a site that should ever be used for factual verification. I will leave the citations in place (with the vc tags) for a week; that should give concerned editors time to find reliable sources for the information. After that, I'll delete whole thing along with the references. Despite the above protestations, the information is not well-sourced. Horologium t-c 20:06, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

I waited almost two months, and nobody bothered to find better sources, so I removed the whole section. Horologium (talk)
