Talk:Planet (software)

[edit] Additional material
This article might be able to use some material from my history of FOSS blogging, although the major thing it lacks is anything much from Jeff Waugh or Scott James Remnant (eg blog entries) that documents what they were doing at the time. Thayvian 20:33, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- Jeff's old blog posts contain a little info. I'll see if I can grab some. Chris Cunningham 15:16, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
There is no such thing as 'PlanetPlanet'. The product has *ALWAYS* been called 'Planet'. Why were these pages changed? It was utterly clear before. -- Jeff Waugh
[edit] Metaplanet
The MetaPlanet Website is dead, anyone knows where it went?tokyoahead 00:18, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Split article between planet software and planet planet (the python app)
Should this article be split into two? Planet planet is the software written in Python while Planet (software) implies the term planet in the context of software. There are various planet applications in different languages. Chmac 20:42, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- The term "planet" as a generic name for web-based community feed aggregators is a neologism. It doesn't warrant more than a mention either here or on feed aggregator. Chris Cunningham 11:06, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
