Another slightly dodgy mediaeval weaponry article possibly inspired by RPGs. I was slightly skeptical that "plançon a picot" is an actual weapon name (it is just French for "spiked plank") but on Googling, after wading through a lot of irrelevant rubbish I do find this [1] which says (in French) that there is little certainty what was meant by the mediaeval phrase, but it probably refers to an awl pike! And then this page [2] says (also in French) that it was used by the Flemish from the 13th to 15th century and is "little known" but was some sort of pike. So our article seems completely wrong. -- Securiger 13:12, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
