What is your favorite Plaid album, EP or collaboration?

Double Figure, hands down. Matthew McVickar 06:54, Dec 2, 2004 (UTC)
At the moment it has to be Not For Threes for me. A complete masterpiece. Craptree 15:45, 8 August 2005 (UTC)

Is Spokes worth getting? I like 'Even Spring' a lot but have heard the rest of the album is rather dull. What say you?

I say Spokes is tremendous. Perhaps not as immediately catchy or engaging as some of their other material, but definitely awesome. Matthew McVickar 00:48, Jan 28, 2005 (UTC)

Yes, Spokes album is quite strong. This year I was at Optronica festival, London. Plaid played some new material and it was very good!

I saw this live performance too, it was awesome! Too bad track with TV noise will never be released. :( -- Kowarisuki 10:20, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Tracks to look out for on Spokes: Even Spring Zeal Marry

yeah, the rest aren't that good in my oppinion, but the above three more than make up for it. Classic. Oh, make sure you buy everything plaid have ever done, they're my fave band. Get Black dog stuff too.

the "zeal" video is pretty stellar if you can find it. -robey

anybody wanna add a mention of the tekkon kinkreet soundtrack they did? -john

I'm gonna do it. -- Kowarisuki 10:20, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Article name

Would it at all make sense to change the word, "band" in the article to, "artist"? By definition, the word 'band' really does not apply to Plaid. Maybe this is just petty opinion, and thus I'm asking here before I just go move it. So what do you think? .:bleaked

I say keep it as it is. -- Kowarisuki 10:20, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

INFO REQUEST: I have inherited parts in the post, spokes, rest proof clockwork and double figure...can anyone recommend some top tracks from each? Thanks! R 19.03.2008

[edit] Pronunciation

In interviews, Handley and Turner have always pronounced Plaid as "plad", with a caveat that they don't care whether or not people pronounce it "played" or "plad". There is an online interview in which Handley mentions that the Welsh word "plaid" is pronounced "pla-eed", but he never suggested that's how the group's name should be pronounced.--Sonance (talk) 17:21, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
