Plaza 66 (Chinese: 恒隆广场) is an office complex in Shanghai, consisting of two skyscrapers. The tallest, Tower One, is 288 m high and was completed in 2001, while Tower 2 is 228 m high and was copmleted in 2006. The two towers are connected by a skybridge.
Tower One is currently the 3rd tallest skyscraper in Shanghai[1] and also the tallest building in the Puxi area.[2] It is located at 1266 Nanjing Road West. The height of the building is 288 m (945 ft) and it has 66 floors.[3] Work on the first tower was finished in 2001. The shorter tower, called Plaza 66 Tower 2, was completed in 2006.[4] The project was developed by Hang Lung Properties of Hong Kong led by Ronnie Chan. The buildings were designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) architects from New York. The lead designer for KPF was James von Klemperer and the manager in charge of the project was Paul Katz. The building got third most votes in the 2001 Emporis Skyscraper Award selection.[5]
