[edit] History

The PlayON! Sport Network, a division of Turner Broadcasting and Time Warner, Inc., launched in August of 2006. The network, known simply as "PlayON!", uses the public internet to deliver live video streams of, primarily, collegiate sporting events.

PlayON! first partnered with the Atlantic Coast Conference in an agreement to stream, live, nearly 500 Olympic, or non-revenue, sporting events on a new website, ACCSelect.com. Since that time, PlayON! has brokered agreements with the United Soccer League on USLLive.com and the Atlantic Sun Conference on ASun.TV.

All of these websites offer subscriptions to customers who wish to view the live, streamed content.

Recently, PlayON! has signed an agreement with Raycom Media/Lincoln Financial to deliver content on that company's nearly 40 affiliated television stations.
