Plaxiphora is a genus of chitons in the family Mopaliidae.

They are small to large, all with a leathery girdle, more or less bristly, but never with scales. The head valve has eight slits, and the tail valve none or occasionally with a single slit on each side. They are found around circum-subantarctic islands.
