Platystemon californicus (Creamcups) is an ornamental plant in the Papaveraceae family. It grows wild throughout the American southwest, and especially on the Pacific Coast. It is a common, hardy flower which can grow in lightly landscaped and recently burned areas.
Platystemon californicus is the only species in the monotypic genus Platystemon.
