Platon Poretsky

Platon Sergeevich Poretsky (1846-1907) was a noted Ukrainian astronomer, mathematician, and logician. Poretsky invented "logical calculus" and applied it to the theory of probability. Additionally, he extended and augmented the works of mathematicians Boole, Jevons and Schröder.
