Platform for Transparency

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Platform for Transparency is a loose unofficial grouping within the European Parliament, established in 2005[1], for three MEPs who are not affiliated to an official European political party.

The grouping does not appear to have an official leader or organisational structure and, instead, appears to work as a means through which its members can collectively draw attention to what it believes are irregularities within the European Union.

The members of Platform for Transparency are:

Flag of the Netherlands Netherlands
Flag of the United Kingdom United Kingdom

On 8 January 2007 it was reported that Ashley Mote will become a member of the new Identity, Tradition and Sovereignty group in the European Parliament, which includes far-right and nationalist elements.[2][3] It is not known if this will affect the continued operation of Platform for Transparency.
