Platanos (Greek: Πλάτανος) is a Greek village in the Achaia prefecture. Pteri located about 25 km east of Aigio, about 60 km east of Patras, east of Diakopto and west of Akrata and Corinth. Platanos is also in the municipality of Akrata and had a population of 409 in 2001. Platanos is built on a mountain slope overlooking the Gulf of Corinth to the north. Platanos is linked with the old GR-8 (Athens - Corinth - Patras) with the new road (see GR-8A, also the E65) just slightly north.

Platanos is situated in a valley area. Farmlands are around the village, the forests dominate the area as well as grasslands and mountains to the south, the west and the east, the Gulf of Corinth can be seen to the north. A stream flows near the village.

Platanos has a school, a church, and a square (plateia). Its nearest lyceum (middle school) is in the north and the gymnasium (secondary school) is in Akrata.
