Plantersville, Alabama

Plantersville is a small unincorporated town in Dallas County, Alabama, United States. It lies near the county's border with Autauga and Chilton Counties.

Plantersville was named for the local cotton planters and plantations. The original name of the town was Corinth. The post office [36758] was established in 1867. The town is home to Dallas County High School [http://dallas.dallask12.org/], a grade 9-12 public school and the oldest county high school in Alabama.
