The Planet of the Apes series takes place within many diffrent time periods. The following is a fictional timeline of the film series' events as they unfold.

1972 AD | George Taylor and a team of three other astronauts are launched on the first Interstellar Exploration flight from the Florida coast. When the flight was suspected to have gone awry a rescue flight was sent containing Major John Brent. | Planet of the Apes |
1973 AD | The craft in which Taylor had been aboard reappears along the California coastline outside of Los Angeles. When the craft is recovered Drs. Cornelius, Zira, and Milo emerge creating an odd speculation. As the humans begin to learn more of the Apes' origin they start to feel as though the Apes are a threat. | Escape from the Planet of the Apes |
1983 AD | All pets die off from a world-wide disease. Apes are then used to replace the pets and because of the plague's effects Apes begin to increase in stature and intelligence. | |
1991 AD | Ceasar (Cornelius and Zira's son) leads a revolution against the slavery of apes. | Conquest of the Planet of the Apes |
2001 AD | Surviving humans attack the Ape City to try to regain civilization for themselves. After the battle each of the species grow to coexist. | Battle for the Planet of the Apes |
